Rita’s large Argentinean Family came to Reading only a couple of days before the Wedding bringing with them enough red wine and Prosecco
to cater for the whole weekend along with a mysterious black spirit, which as I witnessed on the day packed a hell of a punch.
They also bought traditional Argentinean biscuits and chocolates for their favours.
Rita and John got married in the beautiful St Mary’s Church with flowers everywhere perfectly prepared by the bridal party a few
days prior to the Wedding. After the ceremony, the sun came out brilliantly and some beautiful pictures were taken before their guests
made their way to a local school where John teaches. The room was a gorgeous half moon shape with the top table in the centre and
windows out on to the grounds on all sides. Coloured lanterns lined the walkway down to the hall where guests were greeted with Prosecco
and canapés. Dinner was a lively affair with all guests at one point really enjoying themselves and swinging their napkins in the air.
John and Rita made some savings on expenditure by using the site caterers for their wedding breakfast and drafted in some of John’s sixth form
students as waiters and also to provide the music. Claire planned the wedding and kept in regular contact with the Bride and Groom throughout
the planning process and was there on the day to ensure
everything ran smoothly.
